How much have you learned about IT?

I have been opened to an entire new world of Information Technology this semester.  I did not realize how involved IT was in everyday life and business.  I beleive that IT has changed and innovated the world that we live in today.  My question this week is, what is the most integral piece of information that you have obtained this semester from IT?

IT Communications

I recently started a new job here in Baton Rouge and the perspective that I have of IT is completely different from the beginning of this semester.  I did not realize how much a company relied on IT to communicate between offices and departments.  IT also setup my entire hardware system on a new computer, it was amazing in the fact that the first day of work seemed like I had been there for a couple of years because of the way I was communicating and controlling my work space.  What do you think the most significant aspect of IT is and why?

IT in the Medical World?

Should IT be something that is in high consideration in the current health reform bill?  Many doctors complain that the current communication between hospitals and doctors is somewhat out dated.
